Festival Mood - Newsletter UNERHÖRT! Music Film Festival November 12, 2009
Dear fans and friends!Three weeks to go until the UNERHÖRT! Music Film Festival and Conference in Hamburg. Tension is rising as well as the workload for the festival team. Alongside the core team – btw all volunteers – this year again numerous additional volunteers will help us to run the festival and conference. Let’s thank them in advance for their enthusiasm and hard work!
The nearer the festival kick-off the more to publish. Featured today are news about our programme, the competitions and juries as well as a special event for teenagers and our new partner International Film School Sydney.
1. UNERHÖRT! Programme
You can find the programme outline as well as details on the wonderfully diverse festival films online now. The Programme Brochure is fresh off the press and can be downloaded.
Be inspired, be entertained, be surprised. Try out something completely new. The festival programme offers something for every aficionado of music films.

2. UNERHÖRT! Competitions and Juries
This year again, thanks to our sponsors, we are able to award prizes in three competitions and managed to win renowned experts as jury members:

During the festival, ballots will be distributed in cinemas/locations and evaluated immediately.

3. UNERHÖRT! Music Film Conference
The first UNERHÖRT! Music Film Conference will take place on December 4, 2009. Discuss with high calibre specialists in the PANELS; present your music film project/idea at the MARKETPLACE 1.0.
Please note that the conference will be in German language, although we will try to provide translation during audience discussion.
Attractive early bird-tariffs are available until November 15, 2009:
Conference plus extras: 40 €
Conference plus the whole film festival: 60 €.
There will be no fee for presenting your music film project/idea at the MARKETPLACE1.0 only. Please submit your project as soon as possible using the form provided online (please scroll down for the form).

4. IFSS - International Film School Sydney
We are very happy to announce our new partnership with IFSS who learned about us via twitter.
Our partnership will be a further step to promote international cooperation with emerging filmmakers.

5. UNERHÖRT! Special Event for Teenagers
Together with Goethe-Institute Hamburg, we present a special event for teenagers on the topic of indie rock and HipHop.
As a premiere and exclusive screening in Germany, with many guests, two music documentaries will be shown. Entrance is free.
Friday, December 4, 2009, 6 pm
Goethe-Institute Hamburg
Director Kirsten Kummer produced the two films as part of the project of Goethe-Institute “musik + X” for German language training in Goethe-Institute locations abroad.
The films:
MUSIK & X : INDIE, Kirsten Kummer / D 2009 / 20 MIN (OF) and
MUSIK & X : HIPHOP, Kirsten Kummer / D 2009 / 30 MIN (OF).
After the screening the guests Marc "Sleepwalker" Wichmann" and Frank Spilker will discuss with the audience.

6. UNERHÖRT! Community
As you can see on our website, the BLOG is filling up continuously now, albeit mostly in German. We will try to provide more English content but - what with restricted resources - this will take some time. Thank you for your understanding!
