Punk’s getting old
Timo Schierhorn and Mathis Menneking | Germany | 2013 | 96 minutes | OV
Roadie Bully goes on tour again after 15 years with the legendary punk band Slime and keeps a relentless tour diary about the gruelling everyday life between punk nostalgia and bourgeoisie.
Slime, founded in 1979, is a political punk band that has made a name for itself in the German-speaking world over many years. Songs like “Deutschland muss sterben” or “Bullenschweine” were not only the soundtrack of radical left-wing demos and punk fetes, but also aroused the interest of federal German supervisory authorities and were indexed. In 1995, the band split up with the feeling that they had said it all. In 2010, after 15 years of abstinence, they took to the stage again for the first time.
