When musicians take up the camera
Ebba Jahn | Germany | 2022 | 67′ | OV (german)
Ebba Jahn’s audio-visual dialogue with musicians from the international improvisation scene. One rule of the game: the musicians send up to three one-minute fragments of their music of choice, if possible with their own images. Where only music comes, Jahn adds images she has shot herself or found on the worldwide web and modified by her. The result is a shrill, colorful, touching video collage full of different approaches to sound and image and the world.
With Limpe Fuchs, Charlotte Keeffe, Sylvia Hallet, Charles Gayle, Yoko Miura, members of the Oxford Improvisers, members of Mopomoso (London), Santa Sprees/Antony Dolphin, Jean-Michel Van Schouwburg, Paul Hubweber, Sue Schlotte and many others.
